The Field Kit is the full setup. The bottle, the snap lid for the commute, and both magnetic lids so the bottle turns into a phone stand at a desk, at the gym or in the car. Straw for sipping, direct drink for tipping it back. Two booster rings are in the box for phones without built-in MagSafe.

About the founding run: no logo yet

These are founding run bottles and they arrive blank. There is no Modus Hold logo printed on the side yet.

That is deliberate, not a fault and not a second. Marking stainless steel means a pad print or a laser etch, and both need locked artwork plus a minimum order the size of a whole production run. The first batch was placed before that tooling was finished. We could hold the run back for months waiting on it, or ship the bottles as they came off the line. We shipped them.

Nothing else is missing. The 304 stainless, the vacuum insulation, the lids, the threads and the base pocket are all final. What you get is the finished bottle in a plain colourway with nothing written on the side.

Later runs will carry a properly printed logo. If you would rather have a branded one, join the list on the homepage and we will email you when those land. And if you happen to like a bottle with no branding on it at all, this is the only run where that is standard.

Before your first use

We engineer with food-safe 304 stainless steel and BPA-free plastics. To ensure optimal performance and remove any factory-fresh scent from the sealed packaging, give your bottle and all lids (including magnetic lids) a thorough wash with warm, soapy water before your first use.

For the internal straw and lid mechanism, soak them in warm water with baking soda or lemon juice for 15 minutes, then rinse well.

After that, the straw is the part that needs the attention. Run a thin straw brush through it once a week and it stays neutral. Leave it a month and it will start reminding you what you have been drinking.

It holds 80 to 110 ml, about 6.5 cm across with 2.5 cm of usable depth. The floor is domed, so a flat rigid item like a card sits at an angle rather than lying flat. It screws off the bottom and seals shut when closed.

Wash the bottle body by hand or on the top rack. Keep the magnetic lid out of the dishwasher, as heat can weaken the magnet over time.

No, and it is a quick fix. New plastic carries a scent, and the straw and lid mechanism hold onto it the longest. The steel is not the culprit, that is 304 stainless and it does not flavour anything.

Wash the bottle and every lid in warm soapy water before the first use. Then soak the straw and lid mechanism in warm water with baking soda or lemon juice for 15 minutes and rinse well. That clears it.

If a taste turns up again months later, it is usually the straw holding onto old coffee or protein rather than the plastic. Same soak, same result. A thin straw brush once a week keeps it from getting that far.
